OrganizedDocs – server maintenance
Dear users,
your favorite online document management system OrganizedDocs will be down for maintenance from the 1PM until 8PM on Sunday, 19th June 2011.
We are moving our last instances to the Amazon EC2 cloud so you could all enjoy better service from OrganizedDocs.
Once the move is done, we will inform you through this blog about it so you could continue using the service.

Transform to PDF
Dear users and potential users,
it’s high time to cheer you up with another innovation in our online document management system – OrganizedDocs. We have implemented a possibility of transforming certain types of documents into PDF format.
You are now able to transform all of your contracts, offers, reports, etc. into PDF format by a single click of your computer mouse and then send them to your clients.
You can also set a rule in some of your folders so that each document you later add to it is automatically transformed into PDF format. This option can be very useful if you are importing more documents from your computer or if you want to save important e-mails from your clients.
During the transformation, a new document will appear. It will have the same name, but it will be in PDF format, and at the same time, the original document will be saved. Transformed documents automatically support version control.

Multiselection implemented
Having spent a month on improving OrganizedDocs service, it is our honor to inform you we have implemented one very useful option.
From now on you can copy and move more files and folders at once! We have implemented multi-selection, or the possibility for users to select more files and folders at once and to execute actions on them.
By using this option you can easily reorganize your documents. Selected documents can be exported to ZIP archive for further handling. This feature does not exist in original Alfresco instance and we think this will make document management much easier.
Import Documents – Easier and Faster!
To import your documents into OrganizedDocs, so far you were required to zip up your files and folders and to import that zip archive.
Well, to be honest, that wasn’t really the easiest way to import your documents. That being said, we have completely changed the Import feature. Now it’s easy and fast!
Now you can import your documents into OrganizedDocs with just few simple steps. You can import files and entire folder structure with sub folders and its files within a seconds!
First, navigate to the folder you want to import document to and then click on the Import icon in the toolbar. New pop up window will open.
There you can browse your files and folders by clicking on the browse button, OR you can just drag and drop files and folders into pop up! Once you select your files and folders, just click on the Upload button and sit back and relax while your documents are being imported into OrganizedDocs.
Once the upload is completed, just click on the folder you imported your documents and you will see them all there.
Fast. Simple. Efficient. Check by your self!

OrganizedDocs.com is launched!
The moment has finally come. OrganizedDocs.com is launched after a long period of development, testing, adjusting and learning! We are proud to present the new online document management system in the market!
To make this service useful to all of you, we need a feedback. Besides regular reports on bugs, problems, UI, logic etc, we need additional help from you. When someone registers on the OrganizedDocs.com, we will create a set of folders for that user. But this set of folders will not suit all types of businesses out there.
What we need from you is folder structure for your type of business. For example, if you are a software development company, your set of folders could be something like this:

Final stage for a official release!
Hello everyone!
OrganizedDocs.com, system for online document management, is in its final stage before official release! We are still working on some web site adjustments and finalizing the naming of the labels within the app. After we are done with these final adjustments, OrganizedDocs will be publicly released.
We would also like to use this occasion to thank our beta users for giving us useful information, hints and ideas. Without you, the process of preparation of OrganizedDocs would not be as successful as it is now! Thank you all for that!
